ELAION STUDIO is an animation studio in Vancouver, British Columbia, founded by Jeff Choi.

Jeff trained in graphic design and 3D animation, and led creative at a Seoul smart-media company on 3D-animated Smart TV and mobile apps for Samsung, SK, and Korea's major IPTV providers. One title shipped to 157 countries and was shown at CES in Las Vegas and Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where he presented it under the Samsung name. Storytelling was always the throughline: first in how a story unfolds across a screen, now in how a true one unfolds through animation.

Then came the work with Project Witness, animating witness testimony for the classroom. Jeff served as animation director on their feature documentary We Dared to Write. It changed what the studio is for.

Today ELAION is an animated documentary studio. Animation is one of documentary's most truthful forms: it can show what no camera recorded, protect people who cannot appear on screen, and hold difficult material at a distance that lets an audience stay with it.
