Project Witness:
two ways to tell a true story

ELAION is the animation studio behind Project Witness's Holocaust education work. The relationship spans two separate projects: an ongoing series of 90-second animated histories made for classrooms, and animation direction on a feature-length documentary built from diaries kept by teenagers during those years.

None of it could have been filmed. What survives is written and remembered, not photographed. Animation is what makes it visible.

Microshort Stories

One life per episode. Ninety seconds each. Taught in classrooms across all fifty US states, and watched hundreds of thousands of times.

We Dared to Write
